fudgesicle pudding ice cream

The Cuisinart Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt Maker feels like a new toy. I keep wanting to try different recipes with it. Just can't eat it all up... so, have to space it out:-)

This recipe here came with the Ice Cream Maker.

I liked this recipe for its simplicity, and per ½ cup serving, made with 2% milk, it is supposed to have about 60 cals, 25% of which is fat.

Way better than 250 cals per ½ cup serving of regular ice cream, 65% of which is fat cals...

My wee one happens to like it. Of course, she happens to like all things sugary and sweet... We've tried a couple of different flavors. This Cookies-and-Cream pictured here was a big hit, with Banana flavor a close second.

The instant pudding mix usually has sugar, tapioca & corn starch, some thickening agents, flavoring and coloring agents, and preservative. That's not an ideal list of ingredients, but, as long as this is only a once in a fortnight or once in a month type of treat, it should be fine, I guess...
