Sauteed Bitter Melon and Okra



Served with roti or steaming basmati rice and ghee, this is a simple yet wholesome dish.

Slice the bitter melon and salt it and let it stand for 20 minutes; then, drain, rinse and cook as below.

Ingredients
1 Chinese bitter melon (Fu Gwa), sliced
2 cups chopped okra
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 small red onion, diced
1 Tbsp Garam masala powder OR Madras curry powder
salt to taste
2 Tbsp canola oil

Heat oil in a pan, and saute till desired doneness
